Financial Policy

For your convenience, we accept Cash, Visa, Debit, MasterCard, Discover, and financing through Care Credit and Lending Club. We do not accept personal checks or American Express. We deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients; therefore, payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance.

Please remember you are fully responsible for all fees charged by this office regardless of your insurance coverage.

We will send you a monthly statement. Most insurance companies will respond within four to six weeks. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect your insurance payment within that time frame. Any remaining balance after your insurance has paid is your responsibility. Your prompt remittance is appreciated

Deposit Policy Agreement & Cancellation Policy

• Consult Only – $50.00
  *This fee is applied if you are going to cancel the appointment within 48-hour notice*
• Consult and Surgery (same day) – this fee is $150.00
  *This fee is to be prepaid prior to scheduling this appointment*
• Surgery/Procedure Only – this fee is 1/3 of the total of out of pocket expenses for the procedure.
  *This fee is to be prepaid prior to scheduling this appointment*

Any patient that is seen with any insurance other than Medicaid, will need to adhere to this policy and can not make an appointment until we collect this fee.

For Medicaid Patients, if you are canceling your appointment within 48 hours we have the option to deny rescheduling your appointment.

All deposits are applied to scheduled surgical treatment and/ or surgical services and are non-refundable. If the appointment is canceled within 48 hours (2 days) of the scheduled appointment. No exceptions unless proof of a major mishap.

Refund Policy

In certain cases within limits, an account balance may not be refunded if the dental treatment is not completed.

• When scheduling surgery and consultation, a one hundred and fifty dollar deposit is retained and deducted from the total procedure cost.
• If you fail to cancel within 24 hrs. In advance of the appointment, The Maryland Oral Surgery Group may retain the deposit.
• If dental work has been started, The Maryland Oral Surgery Group may retain an appropriate portion of all monies on file for outstanding fees.
• A full refund will be made if and when all treatment is completed via mail to the patient’s address on file.
• Refunds are returned to the credit card on file or via check. It takes 4 to 6 weeks for a refund to be issued.
